Image Searcher's API will fill the void left by Yahoo!'s purchase of IQ Engines. The new API utilizes the same technology that Image Searcher uses to power both its visual mobile search app, CamFind (http://CamFindApp.com), as well as its app for the blind and visually impaired, TapTapSee (http://TapTapSeeApp.com).
"Mashape is proud and very excited to be a part of Image Searcher's API launch," said Augusto Marietti, Mashape CEO and co-founder. "As a marketplace for APIs, we believe that Image Searcher's API will provide developers with the most straightforward access to image recognition in their applications. We're very excited to see developers take image recognition to the next level by using Image Searcher's technology."
Image Searcher, Inc. has a proven track record of delivering fast and accurate results through the use of its technology. The company's API promises to be the best solution for state of the art image recognition which developers can incorporate into both apps and web applications.
"This is a major milestone for our company," said Dominik Mazur, CEO and co-founder of Image Searcher, Inc. "Since releasing CamFind into the Apple AppStore we've received dozens of emails asking if we have our image recognition API available to developers. We can finally provide outside developers with access to our previously proprietary back-end technology which powers our hugely popular app CamFind."
