Award-winning protein products company welcomes three NFL players to Team Detour
CARSON CITY, Nev., Oct. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Protein products company Forward Foods, LLC, the maker of the award-winning Detour® bar, today announced the addition of three professional football players to "Team Detour". In the midst of an exciting season on the gridiron, Detour is proud to have such high caliber athletes join their team – Stevan Ridley of the New England Patriots, Ben Tate of the Houston Texans, and Eric Decker of the Denver Broncos.

Ridley was drafted by the New England Patriots in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, Ridley rushed for a total of 441 yards and a touchdown. Currently, Ridley is 7th in the NFL in total rushing yards and 6th in the league for touchdowns with four.
Tate was drafted in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. In 2011, Tate ran for a total of 942 yards and four touchdowns.
The Denver Broncos drafted wide receiver Eric Decker in 2010. In 2011 he had 44 receptions for 612 yards and nine touchdowns, including returning a 90 yard punt for a touchdown against the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football. He currently has a touchdown in three straight games.
As members of Team Detour, Ridley, Tate and Decker join NFL players LaMarr Woodley (Pittsburgh Steelers) and Steve Smith (St. Louis Rams), Olympic gold medal-winning soccer player Megan Rapinoe, Olympic gold medal swimmer Matt Grevers, Olympic silver medalist in the Decathlon, Trey Hardee, the US Pro Tri Team, and an assortment of up and coming athletes in a variety of sports.
