"We are very pleased with the early exhibitor sign-ups for Meetings Quest in Bloomington," said Timothy Schneider, publisher of Association News, which organizes Meetings Quest. "When destinations as varied as Atlantic City and the Meadowlands in the East, Cedar Rapids, Omaha and Wichita in the Midwest, Denver, Las Vegas and several California destinations in the Western U.S. all decide to exhibit at the same event, that's a very good sign indeed," said Schneider. "As a result, Meetings Quest in Bloomington will allow the meeting planners in attendance to connect with an incredibly diverse array of prospective host cities."
According to Schneider, the dozens of destinations from across the country that have committed to exhibit at Meetings Quest in Bloomington also include the Pocono Mountains, Central Pennsylvania, Chicago Southland, Chicago's North Shore, Bismarck, Fort Smith, Colorado Springs, Boise, Riverside, Fresno and Fairfield. As the live-show complement to Association News, Meetings Quest includes a welcome reception showcasing the host city, a half-day of hot-topic educational programming featuring expert presenters, a luncheon with a keynote speaker and an afternoon appointment-based expo. In Bloomington, Steven Hacker, author of the monthly "Association Doctor" column for Association News, will facilitate a Learning Lab on crisis management and event security, and Jennifer Hoff of Taffy Event Strategies will lead a session on how drones are redefining the future of events. The keynote address in Bloomington will feature IndyCar racing legend Lyn St. James.
"Meetings Quest is an exhibitor-friendly event, which allows access to pre-qualified association and corporate meeting planners who do not usually attend meetings-industry trade shows," said Schneider. "One-on-one appointments between meeting planners and suppliers allow exhibitors to meet face-to-face in their booths with their best prospects."
