Destination Imagination Announces 2016 Global Finals Exhibitors
International creative and STEAM organization finalizes lineup for exhibitors within the fields of space science, chemical science, innovative technology, virtual reality and more
CHERRY HILL, N.J., May 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Destination Imagination (DI), a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching students the creative process through hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM), as well as social entrepreneurship challenges, has released the complete list of exhibitors attending the Global Finals 2016 Innovation Expo.
To be held on May 25-27 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, the Innovation Expo will celebrate creativity, innovation and education for all ages within the fields of science, space, technology, community outreach and creative inspiration with the help of this year's exhibitors.
"From virtual reality to space travel to health sciences, the partnerships we have built this year allow us to expand opportunities for students and Global Finals attendees to learn more about the innovative technologies that are transforming the world we live in," said Dr. Chuck Cadle, CEO of Destination Imagination. While several exhibitors, including NASA and National Geographic are returning to the Global Finals scene, the 2016 Innovation Expo will see a number of new organizations and exhibit offerings. Each exhibit will provide students with hands-on learning opportunities with the products, concepts and programs shaping the STEAM industries for both today and for future generations. Students will also have the opportunity to interact with company leaders and executives from each organization to gain more insight on the science behind each presentation.
The challenges that are anticipated for students in 2016 include interactive science projects, space and virtual reality simulations, drawing and creative writing outlets, rocket building, logistical challenges and cultural learning opportunities.
