Desiree Hartsock Says 'I Do' in Custom Made Wedding Dress Designed by Desiree Hartsock with Maggie Sottero
SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On a picture perfect southern California afternoon, in a chapel overlooking the sparkling Pacific Ocean, Bachelorette sweetheart Desiree Hartsock realized her dream come true, marrying Chris Siegfried last Sunday.
In an intimate ceremony held at the Wayfarer's Chapel, a scenic glass church atop the rocky cliffs of Rancho Palos Verdes, Desiree and Chris exchanged personalized, heartfelt vows in front of a small gathering of family and close friends, including Bachelor alums Jason and Molly Mesnick, Ali Fedotowsky, and Brooks Forester.
The bride, who worked with award winning fashion designer Maggie Sottero to design her one-of-a-kind ceremony and reception dresses, looked radiant in a form-fitting one-shoulder gown of embroidered ivory lace cascading down the bodice and into a full godet skirt of blush tulle. A dramatic lace illusion neckline dropped over her shoulder, and gave way to a sexy bare back. Swarovski crystals sparkled throughout, while an unembellished tulle veil fell from the crown of her head to the length of her dress. She wore her hair parted to the side and loosely curled, accented with a crystal clip. Jewelry was simple and of her own collection with KV Bijou Jewelry.
Following the ceremony, a black stretch limo took the couple to the Redondo Beach Historic Library, where Desiree wore a red-carpet worthy reception gown, also designed with Maggie Sottero. The reception dress, an elegant ivory chiffon sheath with a deep V-neckline, sheer cap-sleeves, and a stunning illusion keyhole back, all adorned with elaborate Art Deco crystal beading and finished with an ivory ribbon belt. It was floor-length and comfortable, perfect for dancing the night away with Chris.
The Redondo Beach Historic Library, a small Spanish style beach-side venue, provided a rustic yet elegant setting befitting Desiree's vision to fuse timeless romance with elements of nature. Floral arrangements of California poppies, cabbage roses, ranunculus and eucalyptus adorned long rows of wooden tables topped with ivory linen runners and sprinkled with blackberries. Votive candles on vintage books added to the romance. Bridesmaids wore berry dresses, contrasting Desiree's blush and ivory bouquet, while the groomsmen donned dark charcoal suits, accented with blush pink ties and pocket squares.
The night was filled with emotional moments including teary-eyed toasts, a father-daughter dance to "Butterfly Kisses," and a surprise live rendition by Matt White of Desiree and Chris' song, "Love and Affection."
"From start to finish the wedding and the reception epitomized what we've grown to appreciate and love about Desiree – both were authentically her – unpretentious while elegant; relaxed but refined," commented Bob Cahoon, President of Maggie Sottero Designs. "Maggie Sottero is honored to have played a part in making dreams a reality for Des and Chris, and we extend our warmest wishes to Mr. & Mrs. Siegfried for a lifetime of happiness and marital bliss."
On Monday, the couple left for a Hawaiian honeymoon.
