Deseret Management Corporation Announces New Roles for Two Senior Management Members
Con Psarras and Tanya Vea Assume New Positions within KSL Broadcasting
SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Deseret Management Corporation (DMC), a for-profit arm of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, today announced that two members of its senior management team have accepted new roles within the company. Effective immediately, Con Psarras will serve as Vice President of Editorials and Special Projects and Tanya Vea will serve as Executive Vice President of News and Cross Platform Development.

Tanya Vea is being promoted to the newly created position of Executive Vice President of News and Cross Platform Development. Vea will be responsible for news programming and content for KSL Broadcasting and shared responsibility for DMC'S integrated newsroom. She will manage the development of news programming for multiple platforms, including radio and television, and will oversee the news director of KSL Radio and KSL Television. Vea will also continue her current duties within the DMC corporate offices. Previously, Vea served as Vice President of Program Development for KSL Broadcasting.
In his new role, Psarras will have direct oversight of the editorial board and editorial positions for KSL Television. This includes developing strategies surrounding the creation and execution of KSL editorials, including placement, content, production and distribution. Psarras succeeds Duane Cardall, who retired from the position in December 2010.
Psarras will also be responsible for developing special programming opportunities that offer significant distinction to the KSL brand. This includes coordinating and executing special reports, special projects, long form productions and unique segments for broadcast and other platforms. Previously, Psarras served as the Vice President and Managing News Director for KSL Broadcasting.
