Department of Labor & Industry Offers Workforce Development Grants
$10 Million Available for Projects to Provide Training Opportunities
HARRISBURG, Pa., Feb. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Department of Labor & Industry is seeking applications for $10 million in grants from service providers interested in helping to create training opportunities for veterans, dislocated workers and youth. The funding is provided through the federal Workforce Investment Act and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
Applications are due by March 19. As applications are received, they will be reviewed and funding will be awarded.
Successful applicants' proposals will complement the department's current workforce training and economic recovery efforts. They include apprenticeship programs; on-the-job training; advanced skills training for the current workforce; basic skill training; and customized training.
