Department of Export Promotion to Hold the 24th Made in Thailand 2011

BANGKOK, July 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce, recently announced details of the 24th Made in Thailand 2011: Export Opportunity for SMEs, which will be held during July 13-17, 2011 at Hall 5-8, Impact Muangthong Thani.

According to Mrs. Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, the Director General of the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), the previous Made in Thailand trade fair got overwhelming respond from the public. This trade fair is expected to attract both Thai and international visitors, especially from the ASEAN, in line with the Ministry of Commerce's policy to boost Thailand's trade and economic growth among the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) from 20 per cent at present to 30 per cent by the end of 2015.

The 'Made in Thailand' trade fair has been a grand showcase of Thailand's top quality export products. This event has become a byword as the single most important gathering where SMEs get a major boost in promoting their products to the international market. They can show their quality goods to foreign buyers and gather vital information on the needs and requirements of the foreign marketplace so that they may plan their marketing strategies and the product sales accordingly," said Mrs. Nuntawan Sakuntanaga.

"It is therefore most gratifying that this year's 'Made in Thailand' trade fair will focus on creating opportunities for Thai SMEs to develop their product quality and enhance their competitiveness.
