Department of Defense Honors DRS Technologies Again for Excellence in Corporate Counterintelligence

ARLINGTON, Va., Feb. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- DRS Technologies Inc., a Finmeccanica Company, has been awarded the 2014 Defense Security Service Award for Excellence in Counterintelligence, the second time it earned the honor since 2012.  DRS received the 2014 award for efforts to identify suspicious contacts through a security program that empowers employees to identify and report suspicious activities. DRS is one of only two defense contractors to receive the 2014 award out of a pool of more than 10,000 eligible companies.

The Defense Security Service (DSS) instituted the annual award in 2010 to recognize cleared contractors that best demonstrate the ability to stop foreign theft of U.S. defense technology.  Companies chosen for the award demonstrate a continuous and ongoing counterintelligence program integrated throughout the company and contribute the most to protecting vital national security information.
