Denver Mills family to offer four farms -- 738 acres -- in November auction
MILAN, Ind., Sept. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Four well-known Ripley County farms, owned by the Denver Mills family, will be offered at auction Nov. 1, with Schrader Real Estate and Auction Company conducting the event.
The farms will be offered in 16 tracts, with tillable tracts ranging in size from six acres to 117 acres.
"Mr. Mills has acquired these farms over many years, and they have been very productive and well managed," said Steve Slonaker, who is managing the auction for Schrader.
The largest farm is approximately 542 acres at the corner of Highway 101 and Highway 50 south of Milan. A 64-acre farm is located in Milan at the corner of Highway 101 and 350. Two additional locations consist of 80 acres and 54 acres.
"Most of the acreage consists of cropland, but tracts will also include two homes and a large grain center. We expect that these farms will be of interest to farmers and farmland investors, as well as to developers or individuals seeking the homes as country residences," said Slonaker.
Schrader personnel will be available to accommodate inspections on Oct. 1, Oct. 7, and Oct. 22. The auction will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at Milan Middle School gymnasium. Internet bidding will be available by request.
