NEW YORK, Aug. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX) today announced the appointment of Denny Tu to the newly created role of Executive Vice President, Global Brand & Creative. Reporting to IMAX CMO JL Pomeroy, Tu will lead the company's brand and creative efforts and will be responsible for the IMAX® brand across all channels, ensuring audiences embrace the power of The IMAX Experience®.

Tu is a senior executive with 20 years of international experience launching and developing established and challenger brands within the media, entertainment, and technology sectors. Previously, Tu was Head of Strategy/Planning, Brand & Creative at Sky, Europe's leading entertainment media company. There he developed award-winning, brand-defining campaigns across Sky's leading entertainment, sport, and movies portfolio. Prior to Sky, Tu held senior leadership roles at several notable brand and creative agencies in London and Los Angeles, including serving as Managing Director/Senior Vice President at entertainment branding agency Autonomy.
