Dennis Hanno Named Babson College Graduate School Dean & Vice Provost
WELLESLEY, Mass., July 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Dennis Hanno, Babson College's undergraduate dean since 2006, has been appointed Murata Dean of Babson's F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business and the College's Vice Provost.

In his role as Vice Provost, Hanno will manage campus-wide support services such as Registrar, Student Financial Services, Admissions, Student Affairs, Athletics, and the Office of International Programs.
Hanno (Twitter: @dhanno) came to Babson from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he served as the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Matters in the Isenberg School of Management. There he focused on curriculum development, social responsibility, and the link between business and society.
Hanno is also an award winning teacher in the accounting discipline known for his innovative curriculum as well as his in-depth work on the assessment of student learning.
Hanno has served on the editorial boards of both Issues in Accounting Education and Accounting Education: A Journal of Theory, Practice and Research. Hanno currently serves as the Chair for the Educators Credential Committee of the Massachusetts Board of Public Accountancy. He is also a member of the American Accounting Association and the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants and serves on the AICPA's Virtual Grassroots Panel.
As Hanno assumes his new responsibilities as Murata Dean of the Graduate School and Vice Provost, Babson Accounting Professor Robert Halsey will serve as Interim Undergraduate Dean. Halsey has been leading the process of curriculum change in the Undergraduate School and is highly regarded as a teacher and scholar.
