Austin will discuss how the stress of recession, job insecurity, and changes in the health care system could impact personal health trends in the coming year. She will address such factors as the nation's obesity epidemic, more consumers dropping gym memberships, and employers encouraging workers to keep fit to combat rising health care costs. Austin will also answer questions about her new book and promote healthy lifestyles, such as how to keep fit in an out-of-shape economy.
Called "America's Favorite Fitness Expert," Austin was appointed to the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and has been an outspoken advocate of physical activity, testifying before a U.S. Senate committee on health and fitness issues.
