NEW YORK, April 24, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Schroder Investment Management North America Inc. has named Denis Parisien as Portfolio Manager and member of the Emerging Market Debt team, reporting to James Barrineau, Co-Head of Emerging Market Debt Relative. Mr. Parisien's focus will be on emerging market corporates, supporting several portfolios under Mr. Barrineau's leadership.
Mr. Parisien joins Schroder Investment Management North America from Deutsche Bank Securities in New York, where he served as Head of Emerging Market Corporate Debt Research and Strategy for nearly four years. In this role, he revamped the firm's analytical framework and developed a unique research platform for emerging markets, which combined fundamental and relative-value analysis.
"After spending many years providing investment managers with sell-side research on corporate credit in emerging markets, I look forward to using the tools and strategies I have developed to try to directly benefit Schroders investors on the buy side," said Mr. Parisien. "The combination of Schroders reputation, expansive franchise, and Jim Barrineau's team of well-respected, experienced financial professionals with impressive backgrounds in emerging markets, presents a compelling opportunity."
In his new role at Schroder Investment Management North America, Mr. Parisien will leverage his expertise in emerging market corporate debt analytics to complement the firm's suite of emerging market strategies and products.
"Denis' impressive experience in emerging market credit research will be very valuable to us as we continue to expand our presence in the global fixed income market," said Mr. Barrineau. "His quantitative and analytical approach fits seamlessly with our commitment to providing our clients with a diverse array of well-performing and well-priced investment opportunities."
Prior to his tenure at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Parisien worked for Santander Investment Securities in New York, where he spent two years as Executive Director and Head of Latin American Fixed Income Research and two years as Head of Latin American Credit Research. Earlier in his career, Mr. Parisien served as Senior Vice President and Head of Research for the Americas at Standard New York Securities in Miami for five years.
