ATLANTA, March 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Oglethorpe Power Corporation's Board of Directors has re-elected Benny W. Denham of Sycamore, Ga. as its chairman. Marshall S. Millwood of Gainesville, Ga., was elected as vice chairman. The election took place at a Board meeting following the Oglethorpe Power annual meeting.
This will be Denham's tenth consecutive term as Board chairman. Millwood assumes the vice chairman's position from Sam Rabun of Louisville, Ga., who did not seek re-election. Board officers are elected from among the Board of Directors and serve a one-year term.

In related action, the following men were named to Oglethorpe Power Board at the annual meeting: James I. White of Stockbridge, Ga. (board member of Snapping Shoals EMC); H. B. Wiley, Jr. of Watkinsville, Ga. (board member of Walton EMC); Marshall Millwood; Jeffrey W. Murphy of Hartwell, Ga. (president & CEO of Hart EMC); and William Ronald Duffey of Peachtree City, Ga.
