Ben Ray Luján (D-NM), the Chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, will speak at a National Press Club Newsmaker news conference, Tues., July 12, 10 a.m., in the club's Zenger Room. The DCCC Chair will outline the House Democrats' offensive strategy, messaging, targeting, voter outreach and highlight the expanding House battlefield this November, along with new approaches to tie GOP House members to Donald Trump.
Rep. Luján, who represents New Mexico's Third Congressional District that includes Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico, has served in Congress since 2009. He was selected by House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi to chair the DCCC in November 2014, after serving as Chief Deputy Whip. The Congressman currently serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee and the Subcommittees on Communications and Technology, and Health.
A similar NPC Newsmaker with the National Republican Congressional Committee will be scheduled later this summer.
