TO EARN FREE ACCESS TO THE PRIVATE SHOW AT CADILLAC HOUSE, GLOBAL CITIZENS CAN COMPLETE AN ACTION JOURNEY IN SUPPORT OF GLOBAL HEALTH
NEW YORK, Aug. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Global Citizen & Cadillac in Concert - The "Accelerator Series," announced that multi-platinum, multi-GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist, Demi Lovato, will give an exclusive performance at Cadillac House in New York City on Thursday, Sept. 21.
Lovato will close out a series of intimate concerts held at Cadillac House honoring leading social entrepreneurs who are driving systemic change and creating solutions to global problems.
Global Citizens can earn free admission to Demi Lovato's performance by joining the movement and taking action on one of today's most important social issues - global health. Actions include tweeting to various policy makers and government officials to support change by urging Ugandan Leaders to prioritize maternal and child health, asking Canadian Health Minister, Jane Philpott and Defense Minister, Harjit Sajjan, to voice their support for global health security and asking UAE government to continue to support education in emergencies to 75 million children with a new commitment to the Education Cannot Wait Fund.
Lovato said, "Not everyone in the world has the luxury of living with access to basic healthcare. It's a privilege to partner with Global Citizen and the Accelerator Series to recognize inspiring social entrepreneurs who are making it possible to get everyone the help they need, regardless of where they are born."
During Lovato's concert on Sept. 21, John Nesbit, Co-Founder of Medic Mobile – which provides frontline health workers the mobile technology they need to reach patients in rural areas – will receive the final Global Citizen Accelerator Award, presented by Cadillac. The award, given at each of the three concerts at Cadillac House, honors passion and genius in social entrepreneurship by giving a grant of $10,000 to the leading social entrepreneurs who are tackling the world's most challenging issues of today.
Charlie Puth (who performed on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017) and Andra Day (who will perform on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017) are also featured artists in the series. There is still time for Global Citizens to earn free admission to Day's concert on Sept. 19, as well, by taking action here.
Following the Global Citizen & Cadillac in Concert - The "Accelerator Series," Global Citizen and Cadillac will continue to champion the awarded social entrepreneurs and their missions by telling their stories in a digital campaign. The partnership will identify even more ways to further educate global citizens around the world about the importance of social entrepreneurship while inspiring a new generation to make impactful change.
