ATLANTA, Dec. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Employees have spoken: Delta is one of Glassdoor's Best Places to Work in 2016.
Glassdoor, an online jobs and career marketplace, awards companies based solely on the feedback of employees who volunteer their opinions about their workplace.
"It's an absolute honor," Rob Kight, Senior Vice President – Global HR Service and Labor Relations, said of the award. "Delta strives every day to be a great place to work. This positive feedback from our people – the very best and most professional in the business – really highlights that commitment."
Launched in 2008, Glassdoor combines free and anonymous reviews, ratings and salary content with job listings to help job seekers find the best jobs and address critical questions that come up during the job search, application and interview phases of employment.
The Best Places to Work Awards are determined by reviews of companies submitted by their U.S.-based employees between Nov. 3, 2014 and Nov. 1, 2015. Delta was considered for the large category, which measured companies that employ 1,000 or more people and have received at least 75 reviews during the eligibility window.
On Glassdoor.com, employees are asked to rate their overall satisfaction with their company and with other key workplace factors, including:
- Career opportunities
- Compensation
- Benefits
- Work/life balance
- Senior management
- Culture
- Values
"It's tremendous to be recognized by Glassdoor for being a great place to work and reflecting our employment brand in such a genuine way," said Glen Johnson, Director of Talent Acquisition. "When you hear people talk about their careers here, you can just tell that they're proud to work at Delta. We continue to attract thousands of candidates who aspire to join our team."
