To celebrate the partnership, during the next few months select Delta Sky Clubs in Atlanta, New York at JFK and La Guardia, Detroit, Boston, Miami and Los Angeles will hold Tequila Avion Tastings where local mixologists will create custom Avion cocktails. Club bartenders will be specially trained by local mixologists to create fun new drink options using the award-winning spirit.

Avion translates to airplane in Spanish, French and other languages. Produced with fifth generation agave growers using the finest Blue Weber agave, Avion's distinct production process results in a premium spirit that defines a new standard of quality and taste. Delta Sky Clubs will offer all three Tequila Avion products: Silver, Reposado (aged six months) and Anejo (aged two years).
The addition of Avion to Delta Sky Clubs is just one of many upgrades Delta has made to the Sky Club experience. Over the last year, Delta has introduced new Sky Clubs in Indianapolis, Philadelphia and renovated Sky Clubs in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Atlanta, New York – LaGuardia, New York – JFK and Los Angeles. Delta's Sky Club investments are part of the airline's more than $2 billion investment in enhanced global products, services and airport facilities through 2013. In addition to improving Sky Clubs and upgrading its domestic fleet, Delta will offer full flat-bed seats on more than 160 widebody aircraft, feature personal, in-seat entertainment for both BusinessElite and Economy class customers on all widebody flights, and complete new terminal facilities for international customers at its two largest global gateways – Atlanta and New York-JFK.
