SAN ANTONIO, March 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Risk LLC, a global provider of cybersecurity and risk management services, announced today that its board of directors has appointed two new members. With the addition of Jeff Schmidt, CEO of JAS Global Advisors LLC and David Leach, Principal and Head of Private Equity at The Chertoff Group, there are now six members on the board.

Jeff Schmidt is the founder and CEO of JAS Global Advisors LLC. A 20-year veteran of the information security industry, Schmidt also founded Authis, a provider of risk-managed identity services, was Vice President of Product Management for ENDFORCE (acquired by Sophos), and was CIO of The Ohio State University's second largest business unit. He also spent time at Microsoft Corporation, where he spearheaded Microsoft's first internal malicious testing of Windows 2000.
Schmidt helped the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) create the InfraGard Program in 1998, and is a founder and elected Director of the InfraGard National Members Alliance, the private sector component of the FBI's InfraGard Program. He also authored the Microsoft Windows 2000 Security Handbook, and contributed to Using Windows NT 4.0, Teach Yourself Linux in 10 Minutes and the Cyber Security Policy Guidebook. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer & Information Science (BS CIS) from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. He is an adjunct professor of Systems Security Engineering at the Stevens Institute of Technology and a Zurich Cyber Risk Fellow, Cyber Statecraft Initiative, at The Atlantic Council.
David Leach leads The Chertoff Group's Private Equity business, which provides growth capital to high-growth services and technology companies in the cybersecurity sector. Prior to joining The Chertoff Group, Leach was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where he worked for 13 years in the Investment Banking Division in New York and London. Before Goldman Sachs, Leach worked at Japonica Partners, a boutique private equity firm in Providence, RI.
Over the course of his career, Leach has advised on more than 25 successful mergers and acquisitions, closing more than $45 billion in transaction value across a range of industries, including aerospace, defense, diversified industrials, security and business services. Leach earned Phi Beta Kappa honors and graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University in 1995, and earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in 2001.
