Delta Offers Winter Weather Travel Assistance to Customers Across Northeast, Mid-Atlantic
ATLANTA, Feb. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today announced it is offering customers whose flight plans may be affected by winter weather across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic on Thursday and Friday the ability to make one-time changes to their travel schedules without fees. Delta's weather advisory encourages customers to consider postponing or re-routing their travel to avoid possible inconvenience from flight delays and cancellations expected to be caused by severe winter weather.

Customers booked on Delta-ticketed flights to, from or through the following locations on Feb. 25 and 26 may make a one-time change to their travel schedule without fees if tickets are changed by Feb. 28, 2010.

- New Hampshire
- New Jersey
- New York
- Pennsylvania
- Rhode Island
- Vermont
- Virginia
- Washington, D.C.
- West Virginia
Delta will proactively reduce flight schedules to and from affected airports to minimize delays during the storm, including at its New York-JFK hub. All customers should check their flight status at delta.com before arriving at the airport.
Travel for changed itineraries must begin by Feb. 28, 2010, and changes to origin and destination may result in a fare increase. Any fare difference between the original ticket and the new ticket will be collected at the time of rebooking. Customers whose flights are cancelled may request refunds.
Today's Northeast and Mid-Atlantic weather advisory adds to a previously issued weather bulletin for customers traveling to, from or through Delta's Atlanta hub on Wednesday, Feb. 24. Atlanta travelers may make one-time changes to their schedules without fees if tickets are changed by Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010.
