LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) returns for a fourth year as the Official Airline of the GRAMMY Awards, which will be presented live at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13. As part of the partnership, Delta is featuring GRAMMY content on a dedicated in-flight entertainment channel throughout February and will be tweeting live from the broadcast via its @delta Twitter channel.

Through Feb. 28, Delta customers on flights with in-seat entertainment will enjoy music content dedicated to GRAMMY-winning artists. One selection of music features MusiCares® Person of the Year honoree Barbra Streisand in a collection called "The Best of Barbra." Another selection, called "Big Country GRAMMY Winners," features GRAMMY-winning hits from Shania Twain, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson and Taylor Swift, among others. Delta will include GRAMMY-inspired programming on all flights featuring in-flight audio entertainment options throughout 2011.

Delta is a leader in bringing music to customers during travel through its extensive offering of on-demand, in-seat entertainment and the industry's largest fleet of Wi-Fi enabled aircraft. Currently, more than 100,000 customers each day experience Delta's personal, on-demand entertainment at every seat. This number will double by 2013 as Delta adds personal in-flight entertainment to more than 100 additional aircraft. Every mainline Delta aircraft currently features onboard Wi-Fi, with all jets featuring a First Class cabin operated by Delta Connection carriers slated to receive Wi-Fi service by year-end.
The addition of more in-flight entertainment to mainline and Delta Connection jets is part of Delta's previously announced plan to invest more than $2 billion in enhanced global products, services and airport facilities through 2013. Delta is upgrading its domestic fleet with more First Class seats and in-seat entertainment; adding personal, in-seat entertainment for both BusinessElite and Economy class customers on all long-haul international flights; adding in-flight Wi-Fi service to all domestic aircraft with a First and Economy class cabin; and building new terminal facilities for international customers at its two largest global gateways – Atlanta and New York-JFK.
The 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live on Feb. 13 on the CBS Network from 8 – 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
