INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- This week, Delta Faucet Company was recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a 2018 WaterSense® Sustained Excellence Award winner. Delta Faucet Company, manufacturer of Brizo®, Delta® and Peerless® products, is a three-time WaterSense Partner of the Year winner and now a four-time recipient of the Sustained Excellence Award – the highest partner recognition for continued, exemplary efforts to help advance the WaterSense program and water efficiency.
"As a four-time WaterSense Sustained Excellence Award winner, Delta Faucet Company is dedicated to developing innovative designs and technologies for the kitchen and bath that pair water efficiency with maximum performance," said Jai Shah, Delta Faucet Company president. "This award is a testament to our ongoing commitment to educate consumers and trade professionals alike on the importance of conserving water through the use of WaterSense-labeled products."
In 2017, the Delta brand amplified its WaterSense message through the HGTV Dream Home sponsorship, where four influential bloggers shared their first-hand experiences using WaterSense-labeled products. Delta Faucet also promoted a wide array of its water-saving products to thousands of consumers and trade professionals at major national trade shows throughout the year, including the 2017 International Builders Show and Kitchen & Bath Industry Show.
Delta Faucet Company offered more than 3,200 WaterSense-labeled SKUs and shipped more than 13.9 million WaterSense-labeled products last year. Even further, the Company expanded its overall product offerings, among them the Delta Pivotal™ Bath Collection, which includes WaterSense-labeled H2Okinetic® shower devices that flow at a water-saving rate of 1.75 gpm, and the Brizo® Vettis™ Bath Collection, featuring a unique open-flow spout that flows at 1.2 gpm.
In conjunction with product offerings and promotional campaigns, Delta Faucet Company wrote a proposal that eventually helped the EPA to incorporate raincan showers in the WaterSense-labeled showerhead specification. Additionally, the Company hosted more than 825 showroom associates and other industry professionals at a hotel with Delta WaterSense-labeled H2Okinetic shower heads installed, so guests could get a firsthand experience with a high-performing, water-saving shower head. Delta Faucet also offered several Continuing Education Unit (CEU) courses throughout the year and trained more than 3,100 influencers and customers through its Brizo and Delta Chicago Showroom.
In 2017 alone, the WaterSense program and its partners helped consumers and businesses save 631 billion gallons of water. Since the program's inception in 2006, the WaterSense program has helped consumers save a cumulative 2.7 trillion gallons of water and more than $63.8 billion in water and energy bills.1 More than 1,900 utilities, manufacturers, retailers, builders and organizations partner with the EPA through its WaterSense program.
"Through innovation and commitment, our partners are helping to transform the marketplace for water-efficient, high-performing products and homes," said Veronica Blette, WaterSense program manager. "The WaterSense Sustained Excellence, Partner of the Year, and Excellence Award winners are leading the charge to save water, energy, and money for future generations."
