INDIANAPOLIS, Oct. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Faucet Company congratulates the 2012 winners of the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (PHCC)—National Association/Delta Faucet Company John Eberhardt Contractor of the Year and Apprentice of the Year awards, two prestigious honors sponsored by Delta Faucet Company.

Mary Jean Anderson, owner of Anderson Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. and member of the PHCC of San Diego chapter, was named PHCC/Delta Faucet Company John Eberhardt Contractor of the Year and Orbelin Roman, a student in the four-year plumbing apprentice program run by the PHCC of Nevada chapter, was named Apprentice of the Year. Both winners were recognized at an awards ceremony hosted by PHCC during its Connect 2012 industry conference in Philadelphia on October 5.

Anderson was recognized for her superior business ethics, diverse marketing and advertising skills, ability to utilize new technology in innovative ways and commitment in raising breast cancer awareness. With more than 34 years of experience servicing the San Diego community, Anderson Plumbing Heating and Air Conditioning Inc. has been recognized locally as an industry leader in its field. A family-owned business, the company has succeeded in providing its community with a full range of plumbing, heating and air conditioning services for residential, commercial and industrial properties.

Anderson Plumbing has been a member of the local PHCC San Diego Chapter for more than 30 years. The company's involvement has ranged from attending meetings to serving on all levels of the Board of Directors. Currently, Mary Jean's daughter, Kelly Anderson, is president of the PHCC San Diego Executive Board. Mary Jean has made a promise to support her daughter in expanding the education program to include training and certifications for heating and air conditioning technicians.

Roman's dedicated work ethic, perfect attendance and exemplary improvement in the field helped earn him the 2012 Apprentice of the Year award. He came to the PHCC Nevada apprentice program after working as a laborer in the field. He has been known to stay late and come in early to ensure he has complete understanding in all aspects of the field.
