Delta Extends Winter Weather Travel Assistance to Customers in Seven Midwest States

ATLANTA, Dec. 11, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today extended the ability for customers whose flight plans may be affected by severe winter weather across the U.S. Midwest to make one-time changes to their travel schedules without fees through Sunday, Dec. 12. The expanded weather advisory encourages customers traveling through seven states to consider postponing or re-routing their travel without penalty to avoid possible inconvenience.

Customers booked on Delta-ticketed flights to, from or through the following states may make a one-time change to their travel schedule without fees if tickets are changed by Dec. 12, 2010.

Iowa
Michigan
Minnesota
North Dakota
Ohio
South Dakota
Wisconsin

Travel for changed itineraries must begin by Dec. 14, 2010, and changes to origin and destination may result in a fare increase. Any fare difference between the original ticket and the new ticket will be collected at the time of rebooking. Customers whose flights are cancelled may request refunds. Ticket changes may be made at delta.com.

Delta will proactively reduce flight schedules to and from affected airports to minimize delays during the storm, including at its hubs in Cincinnati, Detroit and Minneapolis-St. Paul. Delta will continue to monitor the weather situation and provide the latest weather updates at delta.com.

Customers traveling in impacted markets should check their flight status at delta.com before arriving at the airport.
