SHARON, Pa., Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Delta Dental Community Care Foundation recently awarded Primary Health Network a $90,000 grant to provide dental care for patients in the network's nine dental clinics located in Beaver, Clarion, Mercer, Indiana, Mifflin, Lawrence, and Warren Counties.
Primary Health Network is the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Pennsylvania with more than 40 health centers in 16 counties. The grant will help low-income adults and children receive much-needed dental care at Beaver Falls Dental Center, Clarion Dental Center, Farrell Dental Center, Indiana Dental Center, Lewistown Dental Center, New Castle Dental Center, Rochester Dental Center, Tidioute Dental Center, and Warren Dental Center.
"We're delighted to collaborate with Primary Health Network in improving the oral health of underserved children and adults in Pennsylvania," said Karen Robinson, vice president of corporate affairs for Delta Dental and executive director of the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation. "Our impact is only as strong as our partnerships, and we could not make a difference without the hard work and dedication of the organizations we support."
The grant is one of 54 given in Pennsylvania this year by the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation to help improve the oral health of disadvantaged children and adults by removing barriers to quality dental care. Since its inception in 2011, the Foundation has awarded more than $5.8 million in grants to organizations throughout Pennsylvania.
