ATLANTA, Nov. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Community Credit Union (www.DeltaCommunityCU.com), Georgia's largest credit union with $5.6 billion in assets, announces recipients of its annual Philanthropic Fund grant program. Throughout 2018, the Fund will invest a total of $105,000 in 22 organizations which support metro Atlanta children and families. The total amount is an increase of $5,000 in recognition of the program's fifth anniversary in 2018.
"We're proud to support these non-profit organizations which share our goal of helping families manage their household finances and improving the physical and financial well-being of young people," said Delta Community CEO Hank Halter. "Additionally, we seek to support charitable interests important to our employees and members as a way of giving back to the communities in which we live and work."
Throughout 2018, individual grants ranging from $2,000 to $7,500 will be distributed to:

- Care and Counseling Center of Georgia
- Caring For Others, Inc.
- Center for the Visually Impaired
- Georgia Center for Child Advocacy
- Good News Clinics
- Gwinnett Children's Shelter
- Healing Bridge Clinic
- House of Dawn, Inc.
- Lekotek of Georgia
- Literacy Action
- Prevent Blindness Georgia
- Rainbow Village
- Refugee Women's Network
- Ser Familia, Inc.
- Soccer in the Streets
- Southern Crescent Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center
- Southwest Christian Care
- Special Olympics GA-Cobb
- The Woodruff Arts Center
- Trees Atlanta
With the 2018 distributions, the Philanthropic Fund will have invested $430,000 since 2014 in non-profit organizations throughout metro Atlanta. The application period for 2019 grants will open July 1, 2018. For more information, visit the Credit Union's Community Program page.
