ATLANTA, Nov. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Delta Air Lines Foundation has donated $50,000 to support the efforts of charitable and nonprofit organizations that offer educational and wellness programs and provide assistance to those in need in South Dakota. The Foundation's giving benefits organizations in cities Delta serves including Aberdeen, Rapid City and Sioux Falls.

Recipient organizations include local chapters of The American Red Cross; the YMCA and EmBe; Junior Achievement; the United Way; Feeding South Dakota and Farm Rescue.

The Delta Air Lines Foundation is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1968 to enhance Delta's charitable giving.
