MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Twin Cities, meet the Eternal City: Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) is adding nonstop daily service from its Minneapolis-St. Paul hub to Rome during the peak summer season beginning May 26, 2016.
Rome will be Delta's fifth long-haul international destination from Minneapolis-St. Paul and the 10th peak-day flight between the U.S. and Italy for summer 2016. The airline also operates flights from Minneapolis to Amsterdam, London, Tokyo-Narita and Paris. The service will be operated in conjunction with Delta's joint venture partners Air France, KLM and Alitalia using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.

Service between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Rome will feature a full range of premium products, including full flat-bed seats with direct aisle access and a range of regionally inspired dining options in the Delta One cabin as well as Westin Heavenly Inflight Bedding and Tumi amenity kits. Customers flying in Delta Comfort+ benefit from up to four additional inches of legroom and up to 50 percent more recline than Delta's standard international Main Cabin seats as well as Sky Priority boarding. Throughout the aircraft, all passengers will have access to on-demand in-flight entertainment and Wi-Fi enabling customers to stay connected at 30,000 feet.
Delta operates more than 400 peak-day flights to more than 120 destinations from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
