Delphix Accelerates Sales Growth, Adds Proven Leader from VMware, Riverbed
Bertrand Yansouni Joins as Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations
PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Delphix, the market-leading provider of database virtualization software, today announced continued sales growth and the addition of a proven executive who played instrumental roles in executing the go-to-market strategies for VMware, Riverbed, and Coverity.
Bertrand Yansouni joins Delphix as vice president, Worldwide Field Operations. Prior to Delphix, Yansouni helped build and lead the highly leveraged channel sales organizations at Riverbed and VMware. In his most recent position, Yansouni was at Coverity where he ran global sales, services, and support as executive vice president, Worldwide Field Operations.
"We're quickly expanding our base of Fortune 1000 customers, recently adding companies in the financial services, travel, retail, and technology industries," said Jedidiah Yueh, Delphix CEO. "Bertrand has the insight and experience to optimize our long-term go-to-market model and strategy. His track record speaks for itself."
Delphix applies the simplifying concept of virtualization to database infrastructure, turning structured data and its supporting infrastructure into software that operates in a fraction of the space, while preserving full functionality and performance. Public customers of Delphix Server already include members of the Fortune 1000 across major industries, such as technology, telecommunications, retail, manufacturing, consumer goods, and SaaS.
"I had the opportunity to work with Bertrand during the hyper growth phase at VMware," said Karthik Rau, Delphix vice president, Products and Marketing. Prior to Delphix, Rau spent seven years at VMware as a member of the executive staff, first as vice president, Product Management and later as vice president, Worldwide Marketing. "His highly relevant and recent experience will help us quickly define a go-to-market model designed to scale."
"I'm here to build the top field operations team in the industry," said Yansouni. "I'm excited about the customer reaction I've seen to database virtualization—the value far exceeds the cost and friction to adoption. I look forward to bringing this technology to the broadest customer base possible."
Yansouni joins the executive team at Delphix that includes Yueh, Founding CEO of Avamar, which pioneered data de-duplication and was acquired by EMC; Rau; and Alok Srivastava, who ran engineering at Oracle for Oracle RAC and Clusterware, products that have generated billions of dollars in revenue across over 30,000 customers.
