FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Delphi Behavioral Health Group, a leading nationwide provider of addiction and detox treatment programs, announced today the opening of its newest outpatient treatment facility, New Perspectives, located in Delray Beach, Florida.
New Perspectives will provide high-quality evidence-based clinical and medical services to those seeking meaningful, long-term recovery from addiction and substance use disorders. Specifically, the facility will provide an Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP) and FDA-approved Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to deliver addiction treatment that is designed to help patients avoid relapse and achieve lasting sobriety.
IOP will be extremely useful for those with a co-occurring disorder(s) or history of relapsing, but does not require round-the-clock medical monitoring or intervention that is commonly associated with inpatient treatment. Instead, the Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program at New Perspectives will consist of at least three appointments per week for sessions lasting between two to four hours at a time. Medication-Assisted Treatment will have three distinct purposes in the overall addiction treatment program: relieve withdrawal symptoms, treat co-occurring disorders, and balance brain chemistry. In addition, it will also be available to assist patients detoxing from opioid addiction and alcoholism.
"Every patient admitted will have a treatment plan such that, after illicit drug use has ceased and their recovery has stabilized, it will allow for a gradual medically-directed taper to commence with the goal of zero dosage within nine months," said Dr. Neeraj Gandotra, Chief Medical Officer at Delphi Behavioral Health Group. "This program within the Delphi family provides the opportunity to complete the process of recovery while utilizing the components of harm reduction, adaptive care and opioid substitution therapy."
"We are excited to announce the opening of New Perspectives, the seventh outpatient treatment site within our complete spectrum of detox and treatment centers across the country," said Dominic Sirianni, CEO at Delphi Behavioral Health Group. "Delphi is committed to serving the needs of the people in our community and to meeting those individuals where they live, work and reside. To that end, New Perspectives is an Intensive Outpatient program that is the first Delphi site to offer medication assisted treatment. We have carefully and meticulously created a program that combines psychoeducation, motivational interviewing and other evidence based therapies in conjunction with agonist therapy."
Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL, Delphi Behavioral Health Group's family of treatment centers offers patients a variety of individualized programs to begin the process of recovery from addiction. Each treatment center is equipped with a team of highly trained addiction professionals and follows the company's philosophy on addiction care, which includes a high clinician-to-patient ratio, intimate settings and comprehensive, tailored treatment solutions, including cognitive and behavioral therapies, aftercare services and relapse prevention.
