Delphax Reports Repeat Sale of Checktronic System to Graphic Express, Mexico City-based Printing Company
Two New Regional Sales Positions Announced
MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Delphax Technologies Inc. (Pink Sheets: DLPX.PK), a global provider of high-speed digital printing equipment, today announced the sale of a Checktronic 4500X digital check-printing system to Graphic Express of Mexico City. With this addition, Graphic Express is now operating two Checktronic 4500X systems, continuing a long-standing relationship with Delphax.
The Checktronic 4500X is the top-performing press in Delphax's original Checktronic Series of document-printing systems that introduced electron-beam imaging technology to the security printing industry. The presses combine the cost-effective advantages of digital technology with high-quality Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) printing.
With a rated speed of 120 pages per minute and important security advantages, the Checktronic 4500X continues to prove itself ideally suited for personalized production in a majority of international markets. Graphic Express, an established Delphax customer, said the choice of an additional Checktronic 4500X reflected its extensive experience with the equipment and a growing volume of check-printing activity.
Graphic Express handles a wide range of other security and commercial printing applications, including continuous forms, tax forms, tickets, driver's licenses, magazines and direct mail products.
Delphax Technologies also announced two new regional sales positions.
- Maria Elena Lopez has been named inside sales representative, Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Diane Lucas has joined the company's sales and marketing group as North American sales representative.
"Maria Lopez brings to us a solid background in international sales experience, including 13 years of financial and sales experience with Air France in its Mexico City operations," said Kevin Howes, vice president of sales, marketing and customer service. "She will be responsible for direct sales of Delphax products throughout the Latin American and Caribbean markets."
Lopez joined Delphax's international service organization in May 2010 after two years as a customer account specialist for Schwan's Consumer Brands North America, Inc., in Minnesota. She is a graduate of the Universidad del Valle de Mexico in Mexico City.
"With 17 years of technology-oriented sales experience in the printing industry, Diane Lucas is especially well-equipped to represent Delphax and the productivity advantages of our print systems," Howes said. Her move to Delphax follows 13 years at Canon U.S.A., Inc., where she was an account executive with the national account division. She earlier held executive sales positions at Management Graphics and Ciprico, Inc.
