Deloitte's 2010 Technology Fast 500™ to Rank Fastest Growing Companies

Who: Deloitte will rank the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America in its annual ranking.

What: Nominations are now being accepted for Deloitte's 2010 Technology Fast 500. Companies are selected based on percentage revenue growth from 2005 to 2009. In order to be eligible for Technology Fast 500 recognition companies must:

Be in business a minimum of five years.

Be headquartered within North America. Subsidiaries or divisions are not eligible unless they have some public ownership and are separately traded.

Have fiscal year 2005 operating revenues of at least $50,000 and fiscal year 2009 operating revenues of at least $5 million. These revenues must have more than doubled between 2005 and 2009. Participants must be willing to have the revenue amounts published in order to be eligible for consideration.

Own proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold to customers in products that contribute to a majority of the company's operating revenues. Using other companies' technology or intellectual property in a unique way does not satisfy this requirement. Consulting companies, professional service firms, resellers and others are not eligible unless a majority of the company's operating revenues is derived from product sales that incorporate the company's proprietary technology, exclusive of related service revenue.

When: Nominations deadline is June 12, 2010. Winners will be announced on October 20, 2010.
