WASHINGTON, June 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte announced today the appointment of Janet Foutty, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP to Federal Consulting leader. Foutty, who has been with Deloitte for more than two decades, currently serves as Deloitte's managing director of technology and oversees more than 15,000 practitioners in the United States and globally. She succeeds John Gibbons, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP who will serve as strategic advisor during the transition and advance special projects for Deloitte Consulting Innovation and the Deloitte U.S. Consulting Global office.

Foutty also helped drive the 2012 acquisition of Ubermind – an innovative mobile agency– which put Deloitte's Technology practice at the forefront of enterprise and consumer mobile strategy and implementation. During her 22 years with Deloitte, Foutty has also served in a wide range of leadership positions, including the Financial Services Industry leadership team as well as the Women's Initiative and Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Councils.
