WASHINGTON, Jan. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte announced today that Janet Foutty, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP and Federal Consulting national managing director, will also take on the role of Federal Practice leader. Foutty will now oversee the $1.4 billion Deloitte Federal Practice, which provides consulting, risk advisory and financial advisory services to every cabinet-level agency in the U.S. government, and has more than 7,350 dedicated professionals.

Foutty succeeds Maritza Montiel, who will continue as deputy chief executive officer, Deloitte LLP, and senior partner and advisor to the Federal Practice in addition to her role as a member of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited global board of directors.

Foutty, who has been with Deloitte for more than two decades, has served as Deloitte's managing director of technology in the United States and globally. The technology service area flourished under Foutty, where she successfully launched multiple new businesses, including Customer Solutions and, most recently, Deloitte Digital. Foutty also helped drive the 2012 acquisition of Ubermind – an innovative mobile agency – which put Deloitte's Technology practice at the forefront of enterprise and consumer mobile strategy and implementation.
