NEW YORK, May 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte announced today that Guy Langford has been appointed vice chairman, Deloitte LLP, and leader of the Travel, Hospitality & Leisure practice in the United States, effective immediately. Langford succeeds Adam Weissenberg, who will continue to serve as Deloitte's Global Travel, Hospitality & Leisure leader and was recently appointed Chief Client Experience Leader, advising Deloitte's clients across all industries.

Langford will head Deloitte's Travel, Hospitality & Leisure practice that serves 80 percent of the Fortune 500 travel, hospitality and leisure companies. He will be responsible for the development and implementation of key sector initiatives and will work with senior management of the organization's leading clients. Langford is based in New York.

As a principal with Deloitte & Touche LLP, Langford has built extensive experience in the travel and real estate industries, most recently serving as the organization's National M&A Travel, Hospitality & Leisure and Real Estate leader. During his 25 years with the organization, he has led a variety of client engagements, such as advising both financial sponsors and corporate clients on due diligence, accounting structuring matters, financial and operating aspects of transactions. He also assists clients with post-transaction and advisory activities, including integration efforts and various exit strategies including sale, joint venture and initial public offerings. Langford has worked on some of the largest and most complex travel, hospitality & leisure and real estate transactions in recent years including both domestic and cross border transactions in the public and non-public arenas.
