NEW YORK, Nov. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte today announced the appointments of Doug Beaudoin to lead its life sciences and health care (LSHC) practice in the United States and Stephen Burrill to lead its health care sector.
Working in close collaboration, Beaudoin, Burrill and life sciences sector leader Greg Reh will lead the overall strategic direction of the practice and implement go-to-market strategies for Deloitte's key businesses including audit, consulting, tax and advisory services. The LSHC practice comprises over 7,000 practitioners, serving nearly all of the industry's Fortune 500 companies. Beaudoin succeeds Bill Copeland who will retire from the organization next summer after more than 36 years. Burrill is the first leader of the newly expanded health care sector that integrates the health plan and health care provider practices.
"With their client-first mindset and experience delivering the breadth and depth of Deloitte to solve complex business challenges, Doug and Steve are ideally suited to lead our LSHC industry and health care sector practices," said Seema Pajula, U.S. industries and insights leader, Deloitte LLP. "We are excited about the future of LSHC, and thank Bill for his outstanding leadership as he enters the next chapter of his life."
Beaudoin will also continue to serve as Deloitte's global and U.S. LSHC consulting leader. With nearly 30 years of experience, he has exceptional depth in the life sciences and health care space, serving both commercial and government organizations.
"Exponential change is accelerating the pace of disruption in life sciences and health care. I look forward to leading our practice of dedicated professionals who are deeply committed to helping our clients navigate this new future of health," said Beaudoin.
Burrill has more than 35 years of experience serving clients across the health care spectrum and has led large, transformational projects involving acute care hospitals, ambulatory operations, clinics, and physician practices. Previously, he led Deloitte's health care providers practice.
