NEW YORK, June 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte announced today that Barb Renner has been appointed vice chairman, Deloitte LLP and leader of the consumer products practice in the United States, effective immediately. Renner succeeds Pat Conroy, who will continue serving Deloitte's consumer products clients.

Renner will lead one of Deloitte's largest industry practices, which includes more than 3,600 professionals serving a major percentage of the Fortune 500 consumer products companies. In her new position, she will be responsible for driving key sector initiatives that include signature research and strategies to help clients advance innovation, talent development and global operations. She will also serve as an advisor to senior management of the organization's leading clients. Renner will be based in Minneapolis.

She has been the tax leader in the U.S. consumer and industrial products industry since 2013. She also has served in key roles with Deloitte's Women's Initiative and, currently, is the Minneapolis office inclusion leader.
