NEW YORK, Sept. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Creating an expanded leadership business, Deloitte today announced the acquisition of the business and assets of Kaisen Consulting Limited ("Kaisen"), a boutique leadership consultancy of business psychologists based in the U.K. and U.S. Kaisen will operate under the name "Deloitte Leadership." The move is a critical milestone in Deloitte's strategy to deliver world class leadership services to its clients globally.
Deloitte Leadership will offer its global client base access to a full range of leadership services, including leadership strategy, unique assessment tools such as in-depth psychological profiling, and leadership and management development. The new business's approach to leadership is a research-based framework, which is founded on more than 20,000 in-person leader psychological assessments, identifying the capabilities leaders need.
"The vision for our business is to offer full service leadership capabilities for our clients to drive measurable uplifts in business performance," said Jason Geller, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and national managing director of Deloitte's Human Capital practice. "Deloitte Leadership will provide clients differentiated services, in-depth expertise and global industry insights, as well as cutting-edge technology."
Deloitte Leadership, launching off of a long standing global alliance between the two companies, brings together Deloitte's current leadership consulting practice and experience with Kaisen's market-leading assessment methodology, intellectual property and tools. The expanded business will target the global leadership services market estimated to be worth more than $40 billion per year, according to Kennedy's "Leadership Development Consulting Market Report 2013."
"Developing leaders is a critical business imperative for all of our C-level clients and represents a significant opportunity for Deloitte," said Anthony Abbatiello, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and U.S. head of Deloitte Leadership. "This transaction will allow us to expand our support of client needs to develop leaders at all levels and deliver stronger business performance." According to Deloitte's "Global Human Capital Trends 2015" report, 86 percent of business and HR executives rate leadership as an urgent or extremely urgent issue. At the same time, only 13 percent of leaders believe they are doing an excellent job developing leaders at all levels.
Marc Kaplan, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and U.S. lead of Deloitte's Organization Talent and Transformation practice, said, "Following a long standing and successful alliance, we have undertaken this transaction with Kaisen Consulting Limited, integrating the knowledge and experience of both firms. This transaction underscores our commitment to provide our clients with integrated leadership services and enhance our global consulting business."
While this transaction is formally being made by Deloitte U.K., Kaisen is recognized globally and will work with Deloitte Consulting LLP clients in the U.S., U.K. and around the world. Kaisen has 25 years of experience working with senior leaders in more than 40 countries.
