Deloitte CEO Barry Salzberg Wins Executive of the Year - Services at the 8th Annual American Business Awards(SM)
NEW YORK, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Barry Salzberg, chief executive officer of Deloitte LLP, has been named as a recipient of the 2010 American Business Awards "Stevie Award" for Executive of the Year in the Services category for companies with more than 2,500 employees.
The awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on June 21, 2010. The ceremonies were hosted by Cheryl Casone of Fox Business Network and broadcast nationwide on radio by the Business TalkRadio Network.
Other finalists in this category included, Jeffrey Bezos, chairman, president and CEO, Amazon.com; Dominic Barton, managing director of McKinsey & Company; and Joseph Neubauer, chairman and CEO of ARAMARK.

The Stevie Awards were presented in more than 40 categories including Best Overall Company of the Year, Executive of the Year and Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year. More than 2,700 entries from organizations of all sizes and industries were submitted for consideration.
More than 200 executives across the country participated in the judging process to determine the finalists and Stevie Award winners.
Salzberg joined Deloitte in 1977 and was admitted as partner in 1985. He has since built an impressive record through a variety of leadership roles and has served as CEO since 2007. Salzberg is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New York County Lawyers Association.
