Delnor and Central DuPage Hospitals Unveil Cadence Health
New brand will differentiate health system as integrated, locally focused
WINFIELD and GENEVA, Ill., Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Delnor Health System (Delnor) and Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) today announced that "Cadence Health" is the new name of the locally based health system created through their March 2011 merger. The "Cadence" name speaks to the reliability and consistency the health system demonstrates every day in providing patients with excellent, compassionate care. The combined health system, first announced on Oct. 5, 2010, will bring high quality, advanced, efficient care to a patient population of more than 1 million in Chicago's western suburbs.
"Cadence Health is more than just a name, it's a signal of the bold vision we have set for ourselves and our unique capability to accomplish this vision," says Jill Brown, vice president, Marketing and Communications, Cadence Health. "Through teamwork and collaboration, our caregivers at each hospital and across the entire system will provide seamless access to outstanding care and service for our patients."
"Cadence" is defined as a rhythmic sequence or movement, and evokes an orchestration, steady progression and confidence of action. Together, these concepts form the Cadence Health brand promise and define the experience patients can expect from the new health system.
Both hospitals will continue to serve the broader healthcare needs of the community, including a strong commitment to charity care, wellness and prevention programs and collaboration with community organizations and agencies. Additionally, both hospitals are currently upgrading their information technology platforms to improve the coordination of patient care across the region.
