Offering big-data, machine learning imaging analytics to enable population health management and improve patient care
KIBUTZ SHEFAYIM, Israel and LAS VEGAS, Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Zebra Medical Vision, announced today the launch of its Imaging Analytics platform together with Dell Services. The platform will be offered to any clinical site, including more than 1,100 Dell Unified Cloud Archive (UCA) customers. It will allow HMOs, ACOs and other care providers to receive automated, imaging based analysis – providing organizations with targeted, disease focused, actionable insights to facilitate preventative care and population risk management.
Michael Dell, in his keynote address at the HIMSS tradeshow in Las Vegas, spoke about large scale healthcare analytics and noted that "all this [healthcare] information data needs to be translated into better patient outcomes and better patient success."
Using Zebra-med's analytics platform, Dell will now offer any clinical site access to algorithms that provide screening and diagnostic decision support, assist in creating disease based risk profiles, and help accurately identify patients eligible for preventive care and wellness programs. Enabling care providers with this type of information can identify patients at risk for osteoporosis, Emphysema, cardiac disease, liver disease or others pathologies, which can be treated more effectively when discovered early. Integrated care providers, HMOs, ACOs and organizations seeking to manage risk or build preventative care programs have the potential to significantly improve their operations and level of care.
"Big Data, non-imaging analytics are already providing great value to the healthcare system," said Elad Benjamin, co-founder and chief executive officer, Zebra Medical Vision. "Using the vast amounts of imaging data available and the best machine learning and computer vision tools, the Analytics Platform will unlock medical insights that will allow early detection and treatment of some of the most debilitating and costly diseases. Our partnership will help providers take the leap to preventative care in a cost effective and seamless manner."
