Delilah and Feed The Children Join Forces to Feed American Children
OKLAHOMA CITY, Nov. 10, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Delilah, the most listened to woman on American radio, is teaming with Feed The Children to serve hungry American children and families in need.
The partnership seeks to inform Delilah's devoted listeners and others about the struggles of hungry children and their families. The proceeds from the partnership will go to support Feed The Children's American's Feeding Americans program that has served more than 300 thousand families in the past two years.
"There are families with children in need, that are hungry, that need our help and attention. The staff of Feed The Children focus 100 percent of their efforts in meeting their needs with a real impact," said Delilah. "This group has been and continues to make a change in the lives of people in our country, and around the world. I want to help explain that effort and encourage more Americans to share their generosity in a cause that positively affects children."
Feed The Children works with community based agencies to deliver food and essentials, including personal care items to families. A $20 donation helps to feed a child for a month.
"With Delilah's love for children and philanthropic background, we cannot think of a better advocate to speak to our donors," said Tony Sellars, spokesperson for Feed The Children. "Our hope is that her listeners will be inspired during this economic downturn to join the fight against child hunger, which is now in everyone's backyard."
