Professor Sammis takes sabbatical to devote significant time toward developing psilocybin and cannabis intellectual property (IP) for Delic Labs

Professor Sammis has further taken a twelve-month sabbatical from the University and will be devoting his time to working closely with Dr. Markus Roggen in developing intellectual property (IP) for Delic Labs' cannabis and psilocybin research. Delic Labs is a federally-authorized psilocybin and cannabis research laboratory focused on extraction, analytical testing, and chemical process development. After, he moved to Princeton University for a two-year NIH postdoctoral fellowship with Prof. Erik Sorensen. Dr. Sammis is now a Full Professor at the Chemistry Department at the University of British Columbia. He has built an internationally recognized research group working on the development of novel synthetic methods for the preparation of natural products and pharmaceuticals.
