Del Frisco's Grille is the newest offering from Del Frisco's Restaurant Group, which is based in Southlake, Texas and is known for the famed Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House and Sullivan's Steakhouse. Earlier this summer, the group opened two Del Frisco's Grilles – one on Pennsylvania Avenue, just blocks from the White House and another in The Esplanade in Phoenix, the city's premier destination for shopping and dining. Located center stage in Rockefeller Center, Del Frisco's Grille in New York debuted in August 2011 and was quickly followed in November by a second location in the trendy Uptown district of Dallas.
Mike Fuller, Executive Chef of Del Frisco's Grille in Atlanta, has worked in prominent Southern restaurants for nearly 30 years and will feature local favorites such as Brunswick Shrimp & Grits, Savannah Blue Crab Toast, Anson Mills Grit Cakes, and Dillwood Farms Collard Greens alongside new Del Frisco's Grille classics that are easy to share with friends: Wood Oven-Baked Flatbreads, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, and Pimento Cheese Fritters. The menu is rounded out with a selection of prime steaks, hearty salads, formidable sandwiches and chef-inspired entrees. Even late-night revelers will get up early for a decadent brunch at the Grille that includes an out-of-this-world Red Velvet Belgian Waffle and Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs with chorizo gravy.
With 500 selections from the Grille's sleek "wine wall," Del Frisco's Grille offers a wide variety of choices that appeal to every palate from the adventurous to the traditional. Del Frisco's Director of Wine, David O'Day, has carefully selected wines from established and up-and-coming regions in the world, creating an unparalleled and adventurous wine list, surprisingly more extensive than those found in a traditional bar and grill.
"We are thrilled to open our fifth Del Frisco's Grille in the heart of Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood," said Mark Mednansky, CEO of Del Frisco's Restaurant Group. "Atlanta is a vibrant city with a sophisticated dining scene and we're excited to welcome guests with our genuine hospitality. This is a modern American bar and grill and truly the best place in town to come in with friends for a great glass of wine and a great steak."
The Grille will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch and features a prominent perch on Peachtree Road with Atlanta's first-ever double-decker cooled and heated patio that is sure to become a Buckhead landmark, perfect for year-round al fresco dining. A fun addition to the local nightlife, the bar at Del Frisco's Grille gets the party going with imaginative, memorable cocktails including The Georgia Peach, The Kilt Lifter and Apt. 5D – plus shots on tap like The Honey Badger.
Designed by The Johnson Studio, a local Atlanta architecture firm, the restaurant captures the pulse of the Buckhead neighborhood and invites guests with a blend of industrial and warm elements, creating an atmosphere that is simultaneously stylish and relaxed. A focal point of the Grille is a striking, custom-designed chandelier that cascades from the second floor to the first floor – and doubles as a dramatic piece for displaying and storing glassware and liquor behind the bar.
Del Frisco's Grille is located at 3376 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, Ga., 30326, adjacent to the Mandarin Oriental, which was formerly The Mansion on Peachtree.
