Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Honors SAIC for Valued Performance
Company Awarded DLA Business Alliance Award for Outstanding Readiness
MCLEAN, Va. Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) [NYSE: SAI] was honored by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as one of the government's best suppliers during its Business Alliance Award ceremony Aug. 24.
The award was presented to SAIC for Outstanding Readiness Support during the agency's Enterprise Supplier Conference and Exhibition at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. Glenn San Giacomo, SAIC senior vice president and business unit general manager, accepted the award from DLA Director Navy Vice Adm. Alan Thompson.

Overall, 22 industry partners were recognized during the ceremony in seven categories. Separately, SAIC was also recognized with a Bronze DLA Land and Maritime Recognition for Excellence Award, for superior quality and delivery performance on multiple logistics programs. For supply chain management services provided on DLA's Tires Privatization Initiative, SAIC was recognized for its contributions to the winning of a second Bronze award presented to prime contractor, Michelin North America.
