VIENNA, Va., March 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T* has been awarded a position on the Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA) Global Networking Services (GNS) contract. The award lets AT&T bid on and provide communications services to support GNS. DISA plans to spend $4.3 billion over 10 years to build a single global network that will work 10x faster than today's.
With a place on the contract, AT&T will have the opportunity to provide global networking services to DISA. AT&T will provide services like global and regional transport services, software-defined networking, Ethernet and network integration services.
