Deep Learning in New Book from Tibetan Instrument Sound Healing Master, Diáne Mandle
ENCINITAS, Calif., Jan. 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Mandle has been working with the Tibetan instruments since 2000. But when sound healing seemed to be growing into a fad in the USA, she started a school to establish a high standard in the modality of Tibetan bowl sound healing (2008). Her new book, Ancient Sounds for a New Age: An Introduction to Himalayan Sacred Sound Instruments is a natural extension of her decades long work with these instruments. It offers an in-depth look at sound healing and includes an instructional video, illustrations, resources for further study and free tele-classes to answer questions and provide support to students.
"These instruments are sacred artifacts seeped in Buddhist culture. My integrated system combines traditional Buddhist principals with western energy medicine. Certificate programs are popping up all over the country now. My school requires a lot more study and practice than most but those who complete my program are well trained and that makes me feel good."
Diáne Mandle is an internationally known author, recording artist with Sounds True, Tibetan bowl practitioner, educator and the only state certified practitioner/instructor in California. Diáne has given over 250 educational concert programs in 32 states as well as in India, Costa Rica, Mexico and St. Croix. She has been a frequent guest presenter at the Museum of Making Music, California State University San Marcos, The Golden Door, The Deepak Chopra Center, Rancho la Puerta and KPBS. She is a featured expert in the upcoming video series: Tao—Living in Balance along with healers such as Dr. Wayne Dyer and John Gray.
Diáne maintains a private sound healing practice in southern California where she also owns and operates the Tibetan Bowl Sound Healing School. She was part of the integrative therapy team at the San Diego Cancer Center and developed a successful sound healing program for incarcerated veterans with PDSD.
Ancient Sounds for a New Age offers a clear idea of what is needed to learn and practice for anyone who decides to enter the field of sound healing, and serves as an instructional tool to that end. Her combined techniques from other fields have proven very effective for her clients and are described in the book which is organized in five parts.
Part I: Fundamentals of Sound Healing, an orientation to the work.
Part II: The Sacred Sound Family, teaches about the tingshas, ganta, dorje, and the Himalayan bowls taking you through some basic configurations for working with multiple instruments.
Part III: Sound Healing and the Chakras, offers a breakdown of techniques and principles for working with the body's main energy centers, the chakras.
Part IV: Working with Challenging Emotions, offers orientations to working with anxiety and depression.
Part V: Enhancing Your Practice, concerns ways to include colors, toning, power language and visualization in a sound healing session.
