Dee Leman Appointed National Director Of Rehabilitation Services For The Goodman Group
CHASKA, Minn., June 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Goodman Group, a national leader in developing and managing senior living and healthcare communities, today announced the appointment of Dee Leman, OTR/L, a registered and licensed occupational therapist, as National Director of Rehabilitation Services. In her new role, Leman will oversee all Rehabilitation Services offered at The Goodman Group's managed senior living and healthcare communities, including physical, occupational and speech therapy, and will collaborate on restorative therapies.
Her appointment is effective immediately and she will be based in Chaska at the company's headquarters. The appointment was announced by Craig Edinger, vice president, Senior Living & Healthcare division, The Goodman Group.
"Dee has extensive experience in the healthcare field with a strong focus in rehabilitation services in a variety of markets, including sub-acute, Alzheimer's, home health and outpatient programs," said Edinger. "She has the ideal background and experience for the job and is passionate about helping people access the care and rehabilitation they need to promote their highest level of independence."
Leman has more than 25 years of experience in Rehabilitation Services. Most recently, she was the Director of Rehabilitation Operations at Benedictine Health System (BHS), and was responsible for the therapy operations of all BHS facilities. Prior to that, she was Regional Director of Rehabilitation at BHS. Over the years, she has held a variety of key healthcare management positions. She began her career in the industry as a clinical coordinator of Occupational Therapy at Mid-America Rehabilitation Hospital.
Leman has a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from University of Kansas Medical Center and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Illinois State University. She holds a National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) since 1992.
She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Kansas and Missouri Occupational Therapy Association and Kansas City Area Rehab Directors Association. An avid cyclist, she has raised more than $15,000 in 25 years during her participation in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's MS 150 Bike Ride. She has completed RAGBRAI, The Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, more than 20 times.
