The Plus X Award is a competition in Europe that recognizes innovative products in the process and technology as well as sports and lifestyle sectors. In its 13^th year, the event brings together a jury of independent journalists and professionals across 26 industries who spend a number of weeks selecting the winning products. The winners are selected from more than 1,000 entries by a jury of 144 professionals from 32 counties. This year Metz TV was the sole manufacturer to see several of its products garner awards.

The Metz Novum OLED TV features a stylish appearance, with a polished aluminum frame, an ultra-narrow border, a rotatable round base made of brushed stainless steel (which can be replaced with a stand), an additional OLED display along the base displaying channels and time, and an exquisite aluminum wiredrawing panel used for the backface. All of these factors create an eye-catching flagship TV, and fully reflect the world-renowned strength in design and process of Germany's manufacturing sector.

Incorporating the latest OLED display technology, the Metz Novum OLED TV delivers a brand new watching experience. TV sets that deploy OLED technology guarantee the best picture quality available. The technology does away with the backlight, as each pixel is independent from the other in terms of light and shading, yielding an incomparable screen display contrast, visual angle and movement-picture response when compared to LCD TVs. Novum, the first OLED TV launched by METZ, became an immediate hit upon roll out, reflecting the "two highs" of German-made products - high use value and high technology content. The 2017 IFA is being held from the 1^st to 6^th of September, and has attracted 1,800 exhibitors and approximately 240,000 visitors from 50 countries.
